Barred Owl

Over the past few months I’ve been busy with a number of other things, mostly my real job that has kept me away from my camera. I know that’s no excuse. So over the past weeks we’ve been visited by a barred owl, we think it comes back annually. It perches in an oak over our small pond while contemplating his next meal. Early one morning I slipped out the front door with camera in hand. It was quite content while I shot photos for about 10 minutes… My next challenge is to photograph it while it is in flight.
. Dined on shrimp and oysters. We eventually found a nice balcony to shoot a few photos from and enjoy a brew.
